True faith means keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus; and we do that through prayer. When we pray, we refocus ourselves on Jesus, standing before us, arm outstretched, saying, ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid. Come.’

The same God calls us, whatever our vocation may be; the same God gives us his Spirit to enable us to carry it out; it is the same God whom we serve every day.

The decision to follow Jesus is not a one off choice; it must be made over and over again.
