May Jesus be our One Thing this year, and every year.

May we be a people of ‘one thing’: Jesus Christ, the true light that shines in the darkness.

Let’s wake up like the shepherds and give thanks to God for sending his Son to be our Rescuer.

If you feel the darkness close by this Christmas, I encourage you to turn to Jesus, the true light that gives light to everyone.

God doesn’t want an impressive appearance, power, or prestige – he wants something far more important: a humble, obedient, and willing heart.

In Jesus God comes to us, so he can be with us, and we with him - this is peace.

Jesus is not a visitor. Jesus is one of us. He doesn’t visit us, he dwells with us.  Jesus doesn’t come and go, he came to stay.

God still works through the unexpected today - through surprise, and through wonder.

No matter how full, busy, noisy and bright our Christmases might be, without Jesus there is something missing.   Without Jesus, Christmas may as well be empty, dark and silent.

Jesus’ light is for everyone and everywhen.
