Jesus’ light is for everyone and everywhen.

We may not know what the future holds - but we know who holds the future.

My prayer is that we might all make space for Jesus this Christmas - and then in January, in February and beyond.

The gift of God’s own Son takes a lifetime to unwrap, but it’s never too early to start.

Jesus wasn’t born to enjoy the view: he was born to save us from the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into. It isn’t magic or make-believe, but won at great cost: Christmas is not a fairy tale.

In this special meal of holy communion, past present and future all meet in this one moment of grace.

Those angelic words are a rather good summary of the message of Christmas: Glory to God and on earth peace. And if I were forced to distil it even further, I would say the message of Christmas is this: peace on earth.

What is the treasure that Jesus has given to me, that I can open up and present to him in loving, humble worship?

Will you dismiss as irrelevant this baby who grew up to be your Judge? Or will you spend the rest of forever with him, starting today?
