We cannot be God’s people without the Spirit, we need him within us to enable us to walk and live as children of God – in step with the Spirit.

This is the kingdom search and rescue operation: searching out those in whom God is working, and rescuing them by pointing them to Jesus.

We need Jesus – we need that daily rhythm of coming to him and going with him. It’s like breathing.

No matter who or what we might face, in Jesus we can overcome because he has already won the victory.

While we wait for that day when God’s kingdom comes in full, let us be ready, and live as who we are: children of the light and children of the day.

Together with God we can overcome all opposition: Nehemiah shows us we do that by working hard while trusting in God’s strength.

Living a different life has two sides: giving up and turning away from the world’s way, then taking up and turning towards God’s way.

God cares for all things, for all creation – and so should we.

The Spirit transforms and renews us from within, so we can see things as God sees them, so we can See Spiritually.

Friends, let’s be disciples and not the crowd. Let’s hear these words of Jesus, and put them into practice – and so build our life on solid rock.
