Tongariro Junction

We haven’t posted about where we’re staying for a bit – Tongariro Junction is a large campsite in Turangi, not far from the Tongariro National Park, home of the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, which is what we’re here for.

It’s a huge site, with eight large blocks, containing rooms, kitchens, toilets, showers, laundry and games. It doesn’t have the best views of the holiday though...
